New Delhi: Metro services across the country, which have been closed for more than 5 months due to Corona epidemic, will start from September 7. The Delhi government has prepared some protocols for the metro during the Corona period. Delhi Transport Minister Kailash Gehlot told that after thermal screening in the metro station will be allowed to enter, mask will remain compulsory, tokens will remain closed, people will be able to travel only through smart cards. Containment Jones' stations will remain closed and some more stations will also be closed, whose list will be given to the public.
He also said that, we are looking at all the protocols again. Right now we will have a meeting with DMRC and transport officials in detail. The guideline states that metro services will be started under a system. That is, the metro will be crowded as before. A system will be created for this.
Kejriwal welcomed the decision to start the metro
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday welcomed the decision of the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) to start service to the people in a phased manner from September 7. Kejriwal said, "I am happy that Metro has been allowed to start its services from September 7 in a phased manner."
Earlier this month, the Chief Minister said that the metro should restore service on the basis of experiment.
According to DMRC Executive Director (Corporate Communications) Anuj Dayal, "As per the latest guidelines issued under Unlock-4 by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Delhi Metro will resume its services from September 7."
